Utah ODP is offered as a compliment to club programs, as an additional resource for player development as they prepare for state, regional, national and international competitions.
The Utah ODP program represents the highest level of youth soccer offered in the state of Utah and is available to all [age specific] youth soccer players registered with Utah Youth Soccer.
Players are selected on the basis of open tryout and Identification. Selection of these players is not an easy task. Players are evaluated on the four components that make up a soccer player: Technique, Tactical, Physical and Psychological.
Girls and Boys 09,10,11,12,13 will have trainings in Nov and Dec and a Final team of 16-18 will be chosen to attend ODP Championships Jan 1-5, 2026 in Phoenix,AZ.
Girls and Boys 2014 - Will have trainings in Nov, Dec and Jan and attend Combine in Mesquite with North pools Jan 23-25, 2026.
Combine is an overnight stay with 4 players to a room, Chaperones and coaching staff will be with players all weekend. This prepares the players for Championship experience the next year.

Player Training pools of 25-30 announced on August 26, by 5PM, on the UYSA website.
If player pool numbers cannot be achieved, age groups may be combined or teams may not be created, Tryouts will not be refunded if a team cannot be made.
